Gothenburg's home for arcade culture.
New World Hall is a neon-lit gaming hall on Andra Långgatan built for players who miss the click of a joystick and the glow of a CRT. We combine restored retro cabinets with modern VR, esports rigs, and late-night events under one roof.

From a basement collection to a downtown hall.
New World Hall started in 2018 as a private basement arcade in Majorna. Three friends — a cabinet restorer, a competitive Street Fighter player, and a VR enthusiast — kept buying, fixing, and trading machines until the collection outgrew every room they owned.
In 2021 we took over a 1 100 m² warehouse space on Andra Långgatan and turned it into what you see today: a late-night venue where pixel art meets pinball, where VR bays sit beside original 1980s cabinets, and where corporate teams, birthday crews, and solo high-score chasers all feel at home.
The name "New World Hall" is a tongue-in-cheek nod to Gothenburg's gaming scene — part arcade, part living room, part after-hours hangout. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take the games very seriously.
Built by players, for players.
Play for everyone
We believe gaming is a universal language. Whether you're a first-timer or a tournament grinder, there's a machine here with your name on it.
Restore, don't simulate
Our retro cabinets run on original hardware where possible. CRT monitors are calibrated weekly, joysticks are rebuilt, and every cabinet is cared for like a museum piece.
Community first
From weekly fight-game nights to full-floor private events, we build rooms where people meet, compete, and celebrate together.
Competition matters
Serious brackets, real prize pools, and local leaderboards. We partner with Gothenburg's esports clubs to keep the competitive scene alive.
